ARC. (DR) EDWARD NKWEGU, KSJI (OFR) is the Founder and Chairman of EDON group of companies.
He is a seasoned business leader, elder statesman and philanthropist. He chairs EDON Nig. Ltd.(a construction company)and provides leadership to affiliate organizations including Time Line Consult Nigeria Limited, EDON Aluminium and Manufacturing Company (Nig.) Ltd, Barcelona International (Nig.) Ltd, Nkwegu & Partners (Nig.) Ltd, Okwo-oha Microfinance Bank Ltd, and Regina Pacis Foundation, a non-profit company that helps the poor. He is the Chairman Emeritus of the Abakaliki Capital Territory Development Board.
To his extensive experience and high-performance expertise is a professional pedigree backed by Master’s degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, a master’s degree in Environmental Management from Enugu state University of Science and Technology, and a Master’s Certificate in Strategic Leadership from the Albion College in London. In 2013, he was graced with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Management from the Commonwealth University of Belize.
Prime on his merit is the conferment of the National Honors award of the Officer Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (OFR), African Child Prize Award and Epitome of Integrity by the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja.By professional advance and impact, he is a chartered Architect, he has received a merit award from the Institute of professional Administration in Africa, Award of Excellence from National Association of Undergraduates of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Merit Award of Excellence from Ebonyi State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, a Vocational Service Award from Rotary Club of Uganda, Honorary Award from Ebonyi State Chapter of the Law Students’ Association of Nigeria, and the Award of Knights of St. John International, Enugu Grand Commandry.
